How to host a great web seminar
TechSoup Global has posted some tips one should keep in mind when hosting a web seminar, or webinar.
Tip 1: Log in at least 30 minutes early.
This will give you a chance to work out any last-minute glitches.
Tip 2: Keep the conversation focused to the topic on hand.
Moderate the conversation to avoid getting sidetracked on a tangent. It makes it more difficult to get back to the point you were trying to make and wastes time. Also, make sure to articulate so your participants can understand you and try to avoid fillers such as "um" and "ah."
Tip 3: Contact your participants after the event for feedback.
It is also helpful to post a summary of the webinar on your website in case people wanted to review it.
Tip 4: A post-event survey will help you prepare your future webinars.
It's best to keep these anonymous so participants will give you honest constructive criticism.
